Hi everyone! I'm still around. I've been fighting allergies this month. I've been down with them twice in 3 wks. Worse year I've had with them in a long time. I should buy stock in Kleenex! Our Farmer's Market is in full swing, and we've been pretty much selling out each week. Our sales are up twice as much from last year, so we're really happy about that. We've been selling Swiss chard, beets, snap peas, spring onions, broccoli, and my sweet husbands pickled peppers he put up last fall.
Our family has been dealing with some health issues lately. My daughter-in-law - the one who is pregnant and due in July - had a tumor come up on her thyroid. They got her in right away for surgery, and it was a little tricky with the baby. They had two high-risk Ob's on stand-by in case the baby couldn't take the anesthesia, but he/she did fine. They don't want to know the sex this time until delivery, but I think it's a boy. he he! Anyway, they got all of the tumor and had to take the left side of her thyroid to do so. The biopsy turned out not cancerous. Thank God! They called it a Thyroid Adenoma. She's home now and doing very well, and waiting for #3 to make an appearance. Three little ones under the age of 5 will be a challenge for them.
Also, my dad had another stroke last Fri. It was a mild one, and he came out of it pretty fast, and is home and doing well. He had a major one about 6 yrs. ago, and they didn't think he would live 6 months, but he sure proved them wrong. The stint they had put in at that time is almost completely blocked, so he will have to have surgery to fix that this coming Friday. If you could remember to say a little prayer for him I would appreciate it so much.
When I start feeling stressed and overwhelmed, I just walk out to my perennial garden and spend time fooling with my flowers. Things seem better after that. It calms me, and I can think clearer afterwards.
Here's a garden sign a friend of mine sent to me. It fits perfectly on my old tree stump I buried in the ground. I love it that it has a trowel for a hanger.
Here's one of my favorite early summer bloomers. Fountain Blue Delphiniums.
Thank you all so much for stopping by! I've missed 'talking' with you all, and hope you all are doing well.Take care!
Terry

You have a nice blog. Stopped by this morning and was rewarded by your pretty pictures. Those are lovely delphiniums, and the April pictures of your garden is inspiring. My friend and co-conspirator, whose name is also Terry has been trying to get me to plant the Candy onions. Maybe next year. I can only dream about buying something big with produce sales. LOL
Your garden is beautiful and healing. Even thought this is the first time I have visited your site I wanted to send good thought s and prayers your way for your family.
